Job Description

1. To support the Head of BGM in achieving departmental objectives through effective marketing and communication initiatives

2. To ensure all relevant market intelligence and information are shared with KPJ Headquarters and the Regional Office.

3.To perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

Communications

  • Support the Head of BGM in managing internal and external communication activities aligned with business needs.
  • Assist in managing media enquiries and interview requests.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report communication outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, CSR initiatives, and communication activities as required.
  • Act as the social media handler, including responding to enquiries across digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with KPJ HQ and Regional Digital Marketing teams to plan and execute website and social media content strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with KPJ’s Brand Corporate Identity (CI) and consistency across all advertising and promotional materials

Marketing

  • Support daily marketing operations to drive patient numbers and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the hospital’s strategic direction within a 10–15km radius.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate clients, insurance providers, TPAs, GP clinics, expatriate communities, and strategic partners.
  • Conduct corporate visitations; visits to corporate HQs must be accompanied by Group Marketing (Service & Partners Management).
  • Coordinate and execute marketing initiatives such as health talks, webinars, exhibitions, off-site services, and campaigns aligned with hospital objectives.
  • Gather market intelligence, competitor activities, and service updates to identify growth opportunities.

Projects, Editorial & Publications Support

  • Support HQ-assigned and management-approved projects including editorial work and publication development (e.g. Annual Reports, sustainability reports, launch events).

Corporate Branding

  • Ensure all advertisements, promotional materials, and marketing activities comply with KPJ brand guidelines.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing communication tools.
  • Support brand narrative development and implementation at hospital level.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), KWAN & Briged Waqaf

  • Support the implementation of consolidated internal and external CSR communication plans.
  • Assist in managing CSR activities, sponsorships, donations, and corporate zakat funds.
  • Support volunteer programs to strengthen employer branding and staff engagement.

Performance & Customer Experience

  • Execute marketing strategies in line with approved budgets and management direction.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing performance against targets for patient volume and revenue.
  • Ensure customer experience excellence through effective internal and external communication.

Client Engagement & Relations

  • Engage proactively with insurance agents, corporate clients, and healthcare partners.
  • Coordinate and organise engagement activities including forums, talks, consultations, and sales visits.
  • Manage feedback from corporate clients and support resolution of issues in a timely manner.

Data Analysis & Market Intelligence

  • Analyse hospital data and reports to identify target markets and support service improvement.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide updates to Management as required.
  • Prepare, verify, and present reports to Group/Regional Marketing and Strategic Communications on a quarterly basis.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Health & Safety requirements, ISO standards, Halal requirements, and Malaysia Hospital Accreditation Standards (SPP).
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Business, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or Business Development
