JOB PURPOSE

To ensure efficient and effective provision of legal services and advice, particularly in perusing and vetting legal documentation, safeguarding PSMB’s interests, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safeguard PSMB's Legal Interests

• Proactively protect PSMB's interests by efficiently perusing and vetting legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements to minimize risks and liabilities.

Contract Preparation and Vetting

• Assist in the preparation and vetting of all corporate commercial contracts, agreements, MOUs, and related documents, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating potential risks to PSMB's business operations.
• Undertake other such reasonable duties as required by the Management.

Legal Advisory Services

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to PSMB's operational divisions, serving as a point of reference for legal consultations. resolving legal issues and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and guidelines to support informed decision-making.

Legal Research and Review

• Conduct thorough legal reviews and research on parties or legal issues, utilizing online legal databases, reference materials, or external legal opinions to assess complexities and provide informed recommendations to management.

Dispute and Litigation Management

• Manage potential disputes and litigation matters by coordinating with external lawyers. monitoring legal proceedings and ensuring the provision of quality services within PSMB's requirements and budgets, while providing regular updates to management on litigation progress and dispute settlements.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Certification of Legal Practice (CLP) or its equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of working experiences in legal firms with exposure to various fields of law i.e., Contracts Law, Companies Law, Land Law, Commercial Law & Public Law.
3. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English (written and spoken) & Mandarin would be an added advantage.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Candidate must be willing to work in HQ Office at Damansara Heights.
