Executive Officer, GSUS - Sustainable Business Development MY

Key Responsibilities  * 

• Support the annual sustainable finance strategy planning process, including regular management reviews, project management and overall coordination with Business Units on sustainability matters. 

• Prepare management reports on sustainable finance achievements and perform analysis to identify performance gaps and emerging opportunities. 

• Support external disclosure and assurance processes related to sustainable finance. 

• Contribute to internal governance on sustainable finance processes based on the latest industry principles, best practices, taxonomies, regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures etc. 

• Identify opportunities and execute plans to drive productivity or automation improvements in line with CIMB’s Simple, Better, Faster objectives. 

• Support client or internal engagements on sustainability focus areas, including reviewing the sustainability structure for sustainable finance deals or transactions based on internal requirements.  

• Work with business units to identify areas of (e.g. in green, transition, social, financial inclusion etc.)  and conduct market research to position CIMB to strategically tap into and capture these opportunities.  

• Contribute to the development of new and enhancement of existing sustainability-related products, services and propositions (e.g. green/social/sustainable/transition loans/bonds/sukuk, retail products, advisory propositions etc) to capture new opportunities.  

Job Specification * 

Qualifications  

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc) 

Degree from a recognised University. A degree or certification in Sustainability or Sustainable Finance would be advantageous.    

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements   

N/A 

Relevant Work Experience  

More than 2 years of relevant experience in a Banking, Sustainability or Business Planning related role, with experience working on business intelligence or data strongly preferred
