Established in 1961, Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) is the pioneer in the flour milling industry in Malaysia. MFM has grown to become the leading flour miller in Malaysia with regional presence in Vietnam and Indonesia. Over the years, we have expanded into poultry integration, aquaculture, and raw material trading. In FY23, the group revenue was RM2.15 billion. 

MFM is one of the major poultry integrators in poultry feeds, breeding, farming with a state-of-the-art processing facility across the poultry value chain. Designed to meet the domestic and international markets, the advanced facility will process up to 300,000 birds per day.

1. To conduct research and development for new products and existing product improvement with the direction of achieving target quality, cost-saving and customer satisfaction.

2. Construct product development plan with appropriate stage management from new product requisition, prototype development, sensory evaluation, pilot run and commercialization.

3. Closely liaise with Commercial and Plan Operation teams to ensure a clear product development direction and align the project requirement, to provide product knowledge, including unique selling point and differentiators.

4. Conduct sourcing of functional material feasible for product development, according to target cost, quality, functionalities, regulatory and customer requirements.

5. Conduct practical kitchen-based experimental trials, utilizing sensory evaluation and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and assess consumer preferences and product acceptability.

6. Perform commercial scale up study with pilot run and actual production facilities, to ensure the product recipe can translated successfully into production scale.

7. Responsible for product trouble-shooting analysis and customer complaint investigation support.

8. Conduct market product analysis and evaluate the quality and performance.

9. Ensure compliance with food regulation, Food Safety and Quality, Halal requirement in every assignment given.

10. Provide accurate product development report and analysis on time as requested by Management.

• Bachelor Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Science.
