Executive, Supervision and Public Facing, Digital Technology Infrastructure

Formulate, design, develop, implement, maintain and support BNM public facing related systems to serve the key functions of the following stakeholders:

• System related to Financial Consumer Assistance as well as Bank Negara Malaysia information and publication sites, and consumer education programs.


• KijangNet and related applications, BNM public API platform that allows developers, businesses, researchers, and institutions to access BNM datasets on exchange rates, OPR, Financial & Capital Markets, 


• Cyber Threat intelligence to strengthen the financial industry's response to cyber threats by facilitating information sharing and collaboration.

1. Manage availability, reliability, performance and disaster recovery readiness of BNM’s public facing applications, ensuring maximum system uptime, minimal business disruption, and optimal system response time, in accordance with the expectations of all stakeholders, international standards and best practices.


2. Undertake continuous systems and process improvements by benchmarking against standards and adopting models, best practices, and methodologies, and ensuring they are in accordance with guidelines and stakeholder expectations


3. Manage and provide support services to stakeholders, ensuring that all reported incidents, problems and issues are resolved conclusively in the shortest possible duration, without any impact to business operations.


4. Rotate into development, business operations, product management, project implementation and other aspects of Financial Market Infrastructure function as part of the agile devops value chain. Participate in agile projects.


5. Provide value-added IT advisory and consultancy services to stakeholders via an in-depth understanding of the stakeholder’s business area, anticipating needs of stakeholders, and continuously keeping abreast with developments in payments, settlement, depository, clearing and capital market systems


6. Translate current and future needs of stakeholders into IT solutions that enable the achievement of the stakeholders’ business objectives and strategic results


7. Manage relationship with stakeholders ensuring that IT services deliver stakeholder satisfaction and ensuring that the IT services add value to the stakeholders.


8. Continuously keeping abreast with technology development to enable optimisation of the Bank’s IT infrastructure and application for the improvement of IT solutions delivery to business users


9. Build and maintain relationship with external expert and peers in other organizations to benchmark and research appropriate technology and processes for enhancing IT services in the Bank.

Critical Success Factor

• Ability to understand the application business area and perform application support, software testing, software design & development, application integration, and project management in system development​.


• Good understanding of high availability design and concept (eg failover, clustering), application security testing, windows desktop environment and server technology (Unix, Linux and Windows environment), authentication and access control principle​.

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering or relevant professional qualification​

Experience: At least 3 years working experience in software development and application support. Experience in ITIL is an added advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.​

Knowledge: System development life cycle, system analysis and design, database management and technically strong in all or some of this software: SQL (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL), Shell Scripting (Unix BASH/Windows PowerShell), Multiplatform – OCP, RHEL and Windows Server, Multi-cloud - AWS, Azure, OCI, Generative AI.
