Executive Vice President (EVP), Fleet Technical & Asset Management

Job Overview

The Executive Vice President, Fleet Technical & Asset Management is responsible for leading the Group's technical operations and asset management strategy, ensuring the fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry regulations. This role oversees vessel maintenance, asset integrity, fleet lifecycle planning, capital investments, and technical projects while driving operational excellence, cost optimisation, and long-term asset value to support the Company's strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the Group's fleet technical and asset management strategy.
  
• Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, upgrades, and technical operations.
  
• Drive asset integrity, lifecycle management, and fleet performance optimisation.
  
• Lead vessel acquisitions, fleet renewal, newbuilds, conversions, and major capital projects.
  
• Advise the CEO and Board on technical strategy, asset investments, fleet optimisation, and risk management.
  
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification standards, and company policies.
  
• Champion a strong culture of safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
  
• Monitor technical performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Manage technical operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets to maximise efficiency and asset value.
  
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Technical, Fleet Management, and Asset Management teams.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, classification societies, shipyards, and other key stakeholders.
  
• Perform any other duties assigned by the CEO or Board of Directors.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in the maritime or offshore marine industry, including at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
  
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies, Marine Transportation, or a related discipline.
  
• Master Mariner (Class 1) or Chief Engineer (Class 1) Certificate of Competency is highly preferred.
  
• Extensive experience managing offshore support vessel (OSV) fleets, commercial shipping fleets, or vessel management operations.
  
• Strong expertise in fleet technical management, vessel maintenance, dry-docking, reliability engineering, and asset lifecycle management.
  
• Proven track record in leading major CAPEX projects, fleet renewal initiatives, vessel acquisitions, and technical investment programmes.
  
• Demonstrated success in improving asset performance, operational efficiency, reliability, and cost optimisation.
  
• In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry best practices.
  
• Strong understanding of asset integrity, lifecycle management, and maintenance optimisation strategies.
  
• Sound commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing large operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets.
  
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and team development capabilities.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  
• Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), asset management platforms, and digital maintenance technologies.
