We are looking for a Factory Manager to manage our factories in both Skudai and Benut. The shortlisted candidate will be the overall country head for our Fortune Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia and will be reporting to the Vice President of Fortune Food Manufacturing Pte Ltd in Singapore. The shortlisted candidate will be the pioneer in expanding Fortune Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd products to all over Malaysia.
We are specifically looking for a candidate with immediate knowledge, skillsets and capability in food production such as in Noodles, soybean and grass jelly in Malaysia context. The shortlised candidate should be able to run and manage the factory independently.
Core Responsibilities:
· Overall in-charge of Food factory operations (noodles, grass jelly, soya bean curd etc) from warehousing, production, quality control, purchasing, maintenance and transportation.
· Head of R&D for new food products and food products extension.
· Manage day to day operations of the factory including review and approve all business documents such as PO, Invoices, DO, contracts and agreements for direct and indirect purchase of materials and services.
· Review on all factory operations including production efficiency against costs, maintenance and costings, QA/QC/R&D, purchasing, warehouse inventories, HACCP and HALAL procedures and instructions being followed and adhered.
· Manage supply chains of raw materials, packaging materials.
· Established technical and maintenance team for machineries and factory building and facilities.
· Ensure good manufacturing and business practices are in place to meet KPI of individual departments for yearly HR assessment reports.
· To establish and implement HACCP system and as Management Representative for yearly audit.
· Monthly review of P&L of the factory ensure it is within control and propose implementation of cost-effective measures to top Management.
· Prepare yearly budget for Top Management approval to ensure the business is profitable and within set parameters. Be responsible for the Budget.
· Act as liaison officer with state authorities such as MBIP, MKM, Halal, Environmental, Work Safety and other authorities which ad-hoc conduct inspection on compliance for yearly renewal licenses and certifications.
· Lead R&D & QA/QC team for products review and development to ensure existing products are meeting market needs, demand and customer feedback on qualities and continuous improvement on common manufacturing defects to ensure efficiency achieved.
· Recruit and train up a team of workers and staff in JB to manage the factory operations.
· Responsible for staff development, growth and succession planning.
Ideal Qualifications:
· Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering and food related industry or equivalent.
· It is a basic requirement that candidates have managerial experience in FOOD Manufacturing (Soya products / Noodles) for more than 5 years.
· At least 8 to 10 years working experience in food manufacturing with knowledge in production QMS and HACCP.
· Strong and convincing communication skills.
· Knowledge in process control and adequate supervisory skills.
· Knowledge and experience in noodle manufacturing operation is an added advantage.
