Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Finance professional to lead Financial Planning & Analysis and Local Statutory Accounting for our Malaysia entity within a multi-entity regional group. The role owns the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts, partners with department owners across entities to consolidate and challenge budget submissions, and delivers profitability analysis and Income Statement variance commentary. On the statutory side, the role oversees the local Malaysia book, manages intercompany billing and e-invoicing compliance, and liaises directly with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulators. The successful candidate will also contribute to ad-hoc strategic projects, including system migrations and M&A-related due diligence and integration work.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts, working closely with department owners across entities to compile, consolidate, and challenge budget submissions


• Conduct profitability exercises to assess margin performance across business lines and client segments


• Analyze Income Statement fluctuations, delivering clear insights into variances against budget/forecast and prior periods.

Local Statutory Accounting

• Maintain and oversee the local Malaysia book, ensuring compliance with local statutory and reporting requirements


• Manage intercompany (ICO) billing, including management fee computation and cashflow forecast.


• Ensure e-invoicing compliance in line with Malaysia's regulatory requirements


• Liaise with external auditor, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.

Ad-Hoc & Strategic Projects

• Lead ad-hoc finance projects as required, including system migrations and M&A-related financial due diligence, integration, and reporting workstreams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;


• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is an added advantage;


• 6 to 8+ years of total progressive finance experience, demonstrating a strong foundational background in general ledger, financial audit, tax compliance, or corporate finance;


• Minimum of 3+ years specifically focused on FP&A, financial reporting, or commercial business partnering within a multi-entity or regional corporate environment;


• Advanced Excel financial modelling skills, with strong proficiency in building multi-entity budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses;


• Direct exposure to finance transformation projects, such as system migrations, M&A financial due diligence, or integration workstreams  is a distinct advantage.
