Finance Controller - with Growth Opportunities

Job Descriptions:

• Reporting to the General Manager of the Malaysia Plant and the CFO of the China JV Company.
• Manage all accounting operations including billing, cost accounting, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, etc. 
• Responsible for comprehensive company budget preparation and management including accurate forecasting of the company’s profitability through budget management, control and risk management. 
• Undertake robust budget analysis and comparison to actual financial performances and provide guidance to management on areas to improve.
• Provide directions for improving gross profit levels based on product standard costing vs actuals.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting; this includes compliance to local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. 
• Responsible to lead and manage the finance department to meet business requirements and goals.

Qualification Requirements:

• Proven successful track record as a Financial Controller.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance & Accounting.
• More than 5 years of working experience as a finance controller in a Malaysia manufacturing company.
• Competent in Bahasa Melayu and English, able to communicate in Mandarin would be an added advantage. 
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principals and procedures.
• Experience in creating financial statements.
• Experience in general ledger functions and the month-end/year close process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
