Finance Executive

As a Finance Executive at Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you will be responsible for delivering overall support to various functions of the Finance department with responsibilities which include the financial health and compliance of an organization. This level of attention and personalized service adds a special touch to the internal guest experience and contributes to the overall luxury atmosphere. Primary Responsibilities include,

• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership meetings.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in prepare and manage budgets, forecast future financial results, and ensure spending is in line with the budget.
• Risk Management: Conduct periodic audits and implement corrective actions as needed and assist in identify and manage financial risks, including compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Cash Flow Management: Assist manage cash flow and ensure availability of funds as needed.
• Financial Reporting: Manage accounting transactions and ensure timely recording of all transactions and assist in prepare and present financial statements and reports.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals. Ensure the team operates effectively and meets deadlines.

Eastern & Oriental Express is relaunching on February 19, 2024. • Diploma in Accounting, Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Finance Executive, Finance Officer, or similar role.
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data..
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance professionals.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Prior experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting preferred.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CFA is a plus.

International exposure will be considered a plus. You must speak English. Additional languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, French and German, are a benefit. We welcome a diversity of backgrounds, ethnicities and religions.  

Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus, but not a necessity. You could be from an independent restaurant or bar, have worked in luxury retail or private villas, or be a tour guide.
