Finance Manager - Energetic Workplace

Company Background

We are representing our client a leading pawnbroker, retailer, and trader of brand new and pre-loved luxury. The Group provides both pawnbroking services as well as secured financing services and has expanded their business in both Singapore and Malaysia and is one of the largest pawnbroking chains in the region. 

Currently they are looking to fill the position of Finance Manager (to be based in Johor Bahru).

• 5 working days (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-6pm)
• Permanent role
• Accommodation provided (for outstation candidate)

Main Responsibilities

• Lead a full spectrum of financial reporting and accounting operations for Malaysia subsidiaries.
• Prepare monthly management reporting.
• Manage cash flow and treasury function.
• Implement, review and improve internal control.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and SFRS/IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of statutory, tax and regulatory requirements for the group of companies in a timely manner.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors, tax consultants and corporate secretarial agent.
• Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in relation to government grant claims.
• Any other ad-hoc finance duties assigned

Requirement

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or CPA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented and hands-on with excellent leadership, organizational,
  prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, meticulous and a strong communicator.
• Proficient in Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage.
