Finance Manager - Fast Hire

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis

1. Conduct thorough analysis of the retail pharmacy's financial performance on a monthly basis.
2. Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
3. Identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement, providing insights to stakeholders
    

• Budgeting and Forecasting

1. Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
2. Monitor budget performance throughout the year, identifying any discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
3. Provide guidance on cost control measures to optimize financial resources
    

• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Management

1. Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of trade and non trade payments.
2. Manage the Accounts Receivable function, monitoring customer payments and following up on overdue accounts.
3. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables

• General Ledger (GL) Oversight 

1. Maintain the general ledger system, ensuring proper recording of financial transactions.
2. Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Collaborate with the accounting team to address any discrepancies or issues.

• Yearly Audit Check

1. Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors.
2. Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
3. Address auditor inquiries and implement recommendations to enhance financial controls.

• Yearly Stock Take

1. Plan and execute the yearly stock take for all outlets and logistic, ensuring accuracy and completeness of inventory records.
2. Collaborate with store managers and operations teams to facilitate a smooth and efficient stock-taking process.
3. Analyze stock variances and investigate discrepancies.
    

• Cash Flow Management

1. Manage the company's cash flow by monitoring inflows and outflows of funds.
2. Implement effective treasury management practices to optimize liquidity.
3. Forecast cash needs and coordinate with other departments to meet financial obligations.
    

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the retail or pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
