Job Function:

Key personnel in the Reporting section of the Finance Dept. Responsible for smooth monthly closing and to ensure accuracy and timely of submission for internal/regulatory reports as well as expense management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure that all accounts/reports (Internal/external) are prepared in accordance/compliance with approved accounting standards, Group reporting requirements, and regulatory (BNM) requirements.
Ensure timely GL/SL reconciliation towards data integrity and reliability; following up on all exceptions for resolution.
Responsible to ensuring the day-to-day management of department’s activities are compliance to J-sox and work closely with Compliance/Risk Management/Internal audit department.
To monitor budgeting control process and Identify overall cost savings (Expense Management).
Managing new registration of vendors and assist in new vendor selection and recommendation.
Handling in properties related matters inclusive properties listing and revaluation of properties.
To support and assist in other ad hoc duties, projects and activities as assigned by superior.

Requirements

Candidate must possess Accounting Degree with professional qualification credential in ACCA, ICAEW, MIA or equivalent.
At least 6 year(s) of relevant working experience with exposure to Insurance industry
Open towards candidates whom are currently with Audit Firms and is looking to develop their career in the insurance industry
