Financing Lawyer

In this role, you will deal with product and process development, financing, technology and general legal advisory work. Therefore, prior experience in these fields would be a strong plus. You will be building and implementing various programs, collaborations and initiatives during this period of growth for CapBay. In doing so, you will work shoulder to shoulder with colleagues from various departments and offer them with legal advice which is sound and strategic. You are also expected to scour areas for improvement, in addition to being able resolve issues creatively in a frictionless manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on financing transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, asset-based lending, supply chain finance, and structured finance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements, including loan agreements, credit agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
• Conduct legal due diligence reviews and identify legal risks associated with financing transactions.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to financial transactions, including banking regulations, securities laws, and consumer protection laws.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to financing activities.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Prior experience in financing and technology practice would be a strong plus.
• Have more than 5 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice.
• Keen interest in finance and technology as well as structuring transactions and products.
• Able to front client engagements independently.
• Strong analytical and clear thought process.
• Possesses team leadership and/or mentoring skills and experience.
• Collaborative, responsive, hardworking, self-motivated, independent and resourceful.
• Comfortable with working in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
