Food Technologist (Application Specialist)

Job Responsibilities :

• To develop application formulations, making prototype product and identify opportunities to apply those through the use of respective scale manufacturing processes, ingredients, food science and latest technologies.
• To estimate new product cost analysis, nutritional fact and proposed product sheet needed.
• To improve of existing products formulation, to provide solution of ingredient replacement based on market trend.
• To troubleshoot customer problems and address technical concerns relating to the use of our ingredients.
• To analyze and assist to identify opportunities or issues related to R&D and communicate effectively those findings with relevant personnel / sales.
• To work cross functionally with sales, production, marketing and other departments.
• To conduct in-house shelf life test and organoleptic test.
• To prepare and deliver application reports for record keeping purposes.
• To manage lab equipment, ingredients, maintain and update documents and the technical database.
• To involved in food styling or demonstration of recipe formulation.
• To build relationships with suppliers and customers.
• To perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the Management/Superior from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Food Science or Food Technology or equivalent from accredited institutions of higher learning.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the Food Industry.
• Having working experience and strong background in bakery, beverage, powder mix product and meat processing applications is an advantage.
• Possess multi-technical knowledge in food application.
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills in English.
• Pro-active & independent.
• Creative, outspoken and well-versed in presentation / demonstration.
