Finance and Accounting – Associate 

What is the opportunity?

We are currently seeking to recruit a self-starter with solid academic grounding, energetic with good personal attributes to join the Fund Finance team of the Home-grown ASEAN Growth Capital Manager. 

You will be part of the Fund Finance team to evaluate valuation of investments and financial reporting for funds under TAEL Partners’s management.  The position is a regional role based in Kuala Lumpur. 

What will you do?

• Assist in  preparing the full set of accounts for the investment funds;
• Assist in preparing, analysing and reviewing the assets valuation and financial statements and the schedules to ensure accuracy, compliance with the PE valuation standards and IFRS and timeliness in reporting;
• Assist in liaising with external auditors for the year-end financial audit
• Proper tracking and maintaining of the accounting records and supporting documents for the investment funds and its reconciliations; and
• Support the team on any ad-hoc tasks assigned to you as necessary.

What do you need to succeed?

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy and a professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CPA or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of working experiences, preferably  with an international accounting and/or financial reporting role in a fund management company;
• Acquire good knowledge in equity and/or debt financial instruments  will be an added advantage; 
• An eye for detail, focus and meticulous;
• Good team player with positive working attitude and willingness to learn.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Word;
• Fluent in spoken and written English;
