Job Summary: 

We are a london based Early years education company, launching our first Family club in Penang Malaysia in June. Our services include, DIY activities,  kids classes activities,  parties, soft play area, and family restaurant area . We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic general manager to join our team. The General Manager at Curiouser Family Club in Penang is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and administration of the club, ensuring the provision of high-quality childcare services, and creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children and families. This role involves managing staff, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating programs, and maintaining effective communication with headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the center's staff team.
  • Supervise and support department heads and other staff members.
  • Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork and collaboration.

Program Implementation:

  • Implement, and evaluate programs and services provided from the headquarters in london to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Ensure that programs align with regulatory requirements, curriculum standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.

Operations and Administration:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, stocking, bookkeeping, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are upheld throughout the center.

Parent and Community Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and community partners.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding program updates, events, and children's progress.
  • Organize family engagement activities and events to promote parent involvement.

Staff Development and Training:

  • Recruit, hire, and train qualified staff members.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and support to staff as needed.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the Club's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
  • Monitor expenses, revenue, and financial performance, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry trends affecting childcare services.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in Business management or early years education management  .
  • Strong understanding of business development, and best practices in implementing .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for Curiouser Family Club.
