General Manager, External & Internal Communication - Get Hired Fast

Responsibilities

• To support GCSCO for leading, developing, and executing the company's communications strategy with local and international media; both conventional and digital media with a goal of increasing the positive visibility of FGVH’s as one the world's leading palm producers and leading agri-business companies.
• To shape and execute internal communication messaging/ narrative for the Group with operations via existing platforms.
• To champion stakeholder management initiatives and assist in the shaping of relevant regulatory framework for its current and new business opportunities locally and globally.
• To support the Group Chief Strategic Communications Officer (GCSCO) to implement executive placement strategies including speaking engagements, profiles, and other tactics, as the spokespersons of the Company, to successfully position FGVH’s executives as thought leaders of the industry.
• To support GCSCO to develop and execute strategies that secure significant awareness via participation in key exhibitions with a goal of positioning FGVH’s as Malaysia’s leading global agri-business company and one of the world’s largest producers of Crude Palm Oil (CPO). 
• To review and determine donation and sponsorship opportunities that align with the company’s goals and aspiration, defines and executes strategic activation initiatives to create visibility on the approved donation and sponsorship. 
• To anticipate and prepare crisis management plans by working across the organization to understand the issues and situations that could negatively impact the organization, prepare executives on the appropriate standard operating procedures and ensure crisis management procedures are maintained and updated from time to time.
• To manage the agencies for public relations (PR), creative and media in crafting and executing unique concepts and ideas to achieve desired outcomes and awareness on specific campaigns and projects that bring value to the company. 
• To regularly measure and report on communication effectiveness to ensure that available resources are used prudently as earned media is a critical driver of FGVH.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is essential. 
• Master's degree is an added advantage for candidates with higher levels of responsibility. 
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Internal and External Communication area.
• Experience in leading and managing a team, providing guidance and support to achieve common goals.
• Familiarity with the industry in which FGV operates is an advantage, as it enables the candidate to better understand market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
