General Manager (Livestock) - with Great Benefits

Work Location: Tawau, Sabah

Responsible and oversee: chicken farm & swine farm

Job description:

• Oversee the implementation of flock health and health programs for layer chickens and pullets (e.g. nutrition and optimal living conditions) to avoid the spreading of diseases and ensure consistent product quality. Also responsible for determining the feed formulation to achieve a low cost, good/balanced diet
• Responsible for the overall Profit and Loss of the business, formulate business plans to ensure continued growth and long-term sustainability in line with corporate strategy & direction.
• To ensure best practice in farm leading to maximize health and production status and minimize disease exposure risk.
• Organize, manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams by ensuring smooth running of day-to-day operational matters such as Farm Production, Operations, Feed mill plant, Maintenance, QA/QC, Warehousing, Logistics and Sales etc.
• Oversee the purchase of raw materials, feed mill, closely monitor and track production plans, quality levels, on-time delivery so as to maximizing cost efficiencies and minimize wastages.
• Reviews the HR strategy and plans such as organization structure reviews, workforce planning and recruitment activities, goals settings and performance review.
• Continuously build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively achieve business goals.
• Plan, direct and manage farm operations and production to achieve the desired optimum production output and egg quality at the lowest cost possible.
• Manage the setup of integrated livestock farms relating to construction matters (e.g. floor plan, design, lighting, ventilation, wind speed) to support the Business Unit’s growth and expansion plans.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferably a Master’s in Business administration or any related field.
• Candidate with Bachelor’s Degree in Doctor Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent and registered with Malaysian Veterinary Council will have added advantage.
• At least 10 years in livestock / manufacturing industry experience.
• Candidates with poultry related experience and knowledge on integrated livestock farming policies & regulations will have added advantage.
• Strategic thinker with keen business acumen and good sense of integrity.
• Allowances will be given, subject to T&C.
