This position reports to

Sales Support Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

The Global Customer Support Engineer is the first point contact to provide agile supports on IEC LV Motors product related inquiries received from our sales representatives within supporting region under ABB Motion Business.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to Motion - IEC LV Motors Division in Asia Region.

You will be mainly accountable for:
• Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
• Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
• Supporting the achievement of budget goals for local sales units, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.
• Being responsible for keeping the on-time delivery support requests at agreed level for local sales units/ customers.
• Understanding the market requirements, application needs, key customers, and competitors to secure the orders by offering optimum economical solutions from ABB IEC Low Voltage Motors Division comprehensive range of product portfolio offerings.
• Observing the potential development opportunities from daily contacts with local sales units on their existing skills and knowledge for Division products, processes and tools, use this information to provide adequate necessary trainings.
• Reporting any found problems/issues within Division to improve our tools and processes further.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic/Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in international business environment will be prioritized.
  • The role will ideally suit someone who has social networking, stress-tolerant and cultural sensitivity.
  • An agile and proactive approach, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer issues.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices in customer service.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and good command of written and spoken English. Added language in Chinese will be added advantage.
  • Fresh graduate preferably with minimum one year experience in sales support, customer support/service in Engineering field are encouraged to apply.
