Group Accountant - Immediate Start

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accuracy and timely closing of monthly financial reports of the Group in accordance with applicable accounting standards and policies.
• Review postings to the General Ledger and ensure the correctness of presentation of accounting assertions, review monthly reconciliations for AR, AP, banks and loans accounts, intercompany balances and fixed assets.
• Analyse financial performance of the Group and provide commentary or recommendations.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly consolidated reporting package and quarterly announcement reports.
• Prepare and manage annual budget of the Group
• Assist in preparation of Annual Report.
• Prepare and review the audit schedules, draft financial statements, attend to audit queries and liaison with external auditors of the Group. 
• Prepare and provide support in annual tax planning, review annual tax computation, ensure tax compliance and timely filing of tax returns and attend to tax related matters.
• Participate and support automation and enhancement of business processes and SOPs within the Group.
• Check secretarial documents prepared by the Company Secretary to ensure the documents are prepared accurately.
• Implement value interventions, tools and methodologies in collaboration with the teams to promote and instill a high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and good corporate governance to operational excellence.
• Assist in corporate exercises and preparation of business plans.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in accountancy or ACCA, CPA qualification or equivalent
• 10 years or more relevant working experience with at least 3 years in finance managerial position preferably from property development company
• Minimum 3 years in auditing or working experience in public listed companies
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia with good writing skills
• Well verse in taxation, MFRSs and Main Market Listing Requirements
• Proficient in Excel, good knowledge in ERP software, candidate with active involvement in the implementation of new ERP software will be an advantage
• Working experience in corporate exercise
• self-motivated and inquisitive, tough, ability to be multi-tasked and dependable in meeting tight deadlines
• Meticulous, able to manage big data, analyse and identify transaction trends, variances and give recommendations to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of data collection processes
