Head, Group Reliability

Job Purpose

• To lead and provide stewardship over the overall Reliability and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities in all MSM Group refinery Sites’Reliability Department in ensuring optimum, timely and effective preventive and operational maintenance activities and planning, including but not limited to technical and advisory support for day to day smooth operations of the Refinery.

Key Accountabilities

• Accountability for the administration and performance of Reliability Department.
• Accountability for planning and coordinating relevant amendments and project works at all sites.
• Accountability for the planning and coordinating on the maintenance and repair of relevant machinery and equipment.
• Identify and liase on methods of improvement with other Department on the existing processes.
• Monitor and manage Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
• To identify projects for the improvement of the Refinery performance.
• Monitor the work force requirement and efficiency of Reliability Department personnel.
• To ensure that Quality/Food Safety/Safety, Health & Environment Management and HACCP requirements are implemented effectively at the Mechanical Department.
• Shall comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health instituted by Company or under OSH Act 1994 or any regulation made thereunder.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10-15 years working experience in related field within a
  manufacturing environment or refinery operation.
• Excellent knowledge in all mechanical machinery, equipment and assets installed in MSM Group refineries.
• Self-motivated, self-driven and result orientated.
• Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
• Possess knowledge of Sugar Refinery and/or food process operation.
• Knowledge of ISO Quality/Food Safety, Safety, Health & Environment Management System and HACCP.
