Head of Business Development: Software Solutions

Location:
- Based in Kuala Lumpur office, serving clients across Malaysia

Target Industries:
- Government, Government-linked companies (GLC), Defence, Police, Telecommunications (Telco)

Solution Focus:
- Complex multi vendor IT integrations, Complex software solutions, Enterprise technology

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead growth initiatives and pursue new business opportunities, particularly in software integration and development projects
- Structure high-value bids and tenders, influencing outcomes across multiple stakeholders
- Be accountable for revenue growth, order book targets, and pipeline conversion
- Manage complex tender RFP/RFQ processes and build strong relationships with key decision makers
- Independently lead presentations, proposals, and quotations, and structure the CRM and sales strategy

Requirements:
- Possess a stellar reputation and a strong network within the GLC and Government sectors
- Demonstrated experience with complex tender processes and securing new business opportunities
- Work closely with the head of engineering and external partners to align on bid strategy, pricing models, and delivery timelines
- Senior-level role; expected to have 15-20+ years of experience, with at least the most recent 5+ years being highly relevant

About You:
- Experience in new business, business development, strategic sales, or enterprise sales
- Proven track record in large and complex IT and technology projects
- Background may include consulting, Big 4, software integration and consulting, enterprise software or ERP sales, or specific experience with Government, GLC, Banks, Defence, Police, Telco, or national infrastructure
