We are representing client that is one of the world leading solution provider of modular warehouse and logistics systems. As they continue to expand, they are seeking for Head of Finance to be based at their Malaysia manufacturing plant in Simpang Renggam, Johor.

Job Title: Head of Finance Manufacturing (New Position)
Location: Simpang Renggam, Johor
Job Type: Permanent | 5 working Days, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
Salary Range: RM20,000 to RM25,000 (Basic) + Allowances

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance (NEW POSITION) to lead the financial operations of Malaysia Manufacturing Plant in Simpang Renggam, Johor. This role focuses heavily on costing, margin analysis, and partnering with operational leaders to drive financial performance. Candidates from the steel manufacturing industry are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full spectrum of financial activities for the Malaysia manufacturing plant (Simpang Renggam) and Sales Office (Kuala Lumpur).
• Drive in-depth costing analysis, margin review, and product profitability evaluation.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to support both operations and sales.
• Monitor and control manufacturing costs, optimize inventory, and ensure efficient procurement of raw materials.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and adherence to internal controls.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks including FX and commodity price exposure.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations, procurement, and sales teams to align financial goals and improve performance.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on costing and margin analysis.
• At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Background in steel or heavy manufacturing industries is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on leader with strong attention to detail and an operational mindset.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or SAP.

Education:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
