Head of Modification - Malaysia

Scope of work

KEY OBJECTIVES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for multiple management of construction & commissioning activities for brownfield & green field facilities, onshore and offshore Sabah & Sarawak.
• Responsible for ensuring that onshore & offshore construction and commissioning work program are properly planned and executed. Support Head of Section Head & Project Manager to implement modification, FIP & FDP project. 
• Develops construction & commissioning plans, schedules and procedures. Coordinates offshore Contractor mobilization for commissioning of key packaged equipment. 
• Responsible for ensuring onshore & offshore construction and commissioning activities are executed align with Department plan and Asset integrated planning, and provide support for safe operating practices, comply with the PTTEP Management System and meet all environmental and legislative requirements.
• Responsible for onshore & offshore hook up & commissioning contractor in resources deployment including construction personnel, tools & equipment, marine spread the required for project. 
• Coordinate with the contractor & subcontractor to carry out engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning (EPCC) of project, capable identifying bottleneck along the project execution and provide alternative solution.
• Responsible for providing technical input related to construction & commissioning and mentoring of the engineers and superintendent.

KEY AUTHORITIES

• As Head of Modification based in the KL Office or various project construction sites, free to act within the authorities granted by the Head of Head of Engineering and Modification Section or the Project Manager.
• Execute all onshore & offshore construction & commissioning activities comply with all COMPANY, PETRONAS standard & procedure, Government requirements and regulations. 
• Review the project technical & commercial proposal, participate in technical & commercial evaluation, develop and present project strategy, technical proposal to internal and external stakeholders.
• Involve in technical & commercial proposal, approve SAP Purchase Requisition, Invoice based on the authority limit.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

• Interface and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning (EPCC) of project activities with all Sabah & Sarawak project lead & managers.
• Provide oversight and guidance for construction engineer, project engineercommissioning engineers and commissioning manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory

• A minimum of 10 years experience associated with engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning (EPCC) offshore production facilities in a technical/supervisory/management capacity.
• Previous employment history in South East Asia – Min 10 years experience.
• Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of operations support.
• Strong communication skills for working with, understanding and motivating Malaysian national personnel.
• Strong team building skills.
• A sound knowledge of the business drivers affecting PTTEP.
• Specific knowledge of oil production, rotating equipment, water injection and gas lift plant.
• Sound knowledge of Project, Construction and Commissioning activities, with previous experience in one or more Malaysian construction sites.
• Sound knowledge of training, CBTA and technology transfer issues in Malaysian environment.
