Summary:
- Responsible and accountable for the entire Fleet & Operations Department and Branch Operations for the Car Rental Group. To ensure the departments are operating at most efficient, effective and economic manner
Responsible:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including fleet management, customer service, reservations, and maintenance. Ensure the efficient utilization of rental vehicles and optimize fleet performance.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Set performance targets, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Implement and maintain high standards of customer service. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally. Develop and implement customer service training programs for staff.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
- Identify revenue-generating opportunities and implement strategies to increase profitability.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate operational risks.
- Implement safety and security measures for both customers and the fleet.
- Stay updated on industry technology trends and implement relevant innovations.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of rental management systems and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand market presence.
- Ad-hoc task as and when there are new requirements,
Technical Knowledge / Skills:
- Strong understanding of fleet management, customer service, and business operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance.
- Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive result
Requirements:
- Proven experience (10 years) in a leadership role within the car rental industry.
- Candidates must possess at least Diploma/Degree/Postgraduate/in Business Management/Automotive/Hospitality or equivalent.
- Required language: English & Malay
- Good interpersonal, people management, and communication skills with leadership qualities.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning process improvement and budget management.
- Strong problem -solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
