- Reviews the logistics for events which the Institute has created and handles responsibilities for onsite setup, operation and disassembling. To oversee event-day staff, solving problems that arise and review checklists to make sure vendors deliver on all aspects of their contracts.
- Assist in handling research, write, edit and proofread newsletters, fundraising letters, event materials and website pages.
- Keeping the media contact list up-to-date and is responsible for following up with media contacts after the Institute sends press releases.
- To organise, manage & review related events and projects & international affairs communication.
- To write articles, press releases on the departments and events for the newspapers and other related publications.
- Organizing students related activities such as outreach programme and community projects for the Institute.
- Provide general information to public (walk-in, call-in, education fair, school visits).
- Taking charge in general administrative work and duties related to courses / programmes / talks / workshops / events, etc. organized by Extra-Mural Studies.
- Other duties assigned by the Institute from time to time.
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in education industry.
- Good in computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation and etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate comfortably with students and parents in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must be courteous with pleasant and good telephone etiquette.
- Able to work in a team or individually and requires minimum supervision.
- Good in planning and executing the planned tasks.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Candidates fluent in mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with mandarin speaking clients.
- Applicants must be willing to work during weekends.
