Head of Procurement - Energetic Workplace

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Developing Procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.  
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.  
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.  
• Reviewing existing Contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.  
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.  
• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.  
• Performing risk assessments on potential Contracts and Agreements.  
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.  
• Ensure to contribute proper appointment of Contractor or Suppliers by the Procurement Committee 
• Ensure the integrity of Procurement documentation and data by communicating and advising the operating management on the procurement process and standards. 
• Manage current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed. 

 REQUIREMENTS:  

• A bachelor's degree in management, business, procurement, or a related field.  
• Minimum 15 years working experience and 10 years in management, preferably within the Telecommunication industry 
• Strong relationships with vendors and suppliers in the telecommunications sector, including knowledge of industry-specific suppliers and their products. 
• Exceptional negotiation skills to secure advantageous contracts and agreements. 
• Proficiency in data analysis, procurement software, and supply chain management tools. 
• Proficiency in strategic procurement planning, vendor management, and contract negotiation. 
• Commitment to ethical procurement practices and adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. 
• Candidates from Sarawak are strongly preferred.
