This is a rare opportunity to step into a role that sits at the heart of long-term capital strategy-shaping how a globally significant institutional investor allocates capital, unlocks value, and delivers sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.

As Head of Strategic Investments, youll lead the charge in aligning the funds strategic objectives with high-impact investment initiatives spanning M&A, corporate restructuring, thematic investing, and long-horizon capital deployment. 

Youll oversee the review and optimisation of a significant, multi-asset portfolio while shaping future-facing investment strategies that align with both commercial value and public accountability.

The Challenges

Strategic Investment Planning: Develop and refine long-term investment priorities aligned to global trends and institutional goals.

Portfolio Oversight: Lead deep-dive reviews and optimise investment allocations across multiple asset classes.

M&A & Corporate Strategy: Drive strategic transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, and structural portfolio shifts.

Thematic Investing: Spearhead initiatives in areas such as sustainability, infrastructure, digital economy, and regional growth.

Governance & ESG: Ensure alignment with governance, risk, and ESG frameworks that reflect best-in-class standards.

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to boards, regulators, and cross-functional teams, translating complexity into clarity.

What It Takes

15+ years experience in strategic investing, M&A, corporate finance, or institutional asset management.

Strong exposure to investment strategy wihtin a sovereign wealth fund, insurance, or global financial institution.

Proven ability to lead strategic reviews, manage complex stakeholders and build investment theses around macro themes. 

Comfortable operating in high-pressure, high-stakes environments with long-term accountability.
