Job Description

• Provide guidance on measures to ensure the safety and health of employees at the workplace.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the workplace to assess potential risks posed by machinery, equipment, substances, processes, or manual labor, with a focus on preventing injuries.
• Investigate any incidents such as accidents, near-misses, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisonings, or diseases that occur within the workplace.
• Support the Chairman of the safety and health committee in organizing and executing occupational safety and health programs.
• Serve as the secretary to the safety and health committee if required, fulfilling all duties outlined in the regulations.
• Assist the safety and health committee in conducting inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain data on workplace accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisonings, and diseases.
• Collaborate with relevant personnel to address safety and health concerns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and Conflict Mineral activities.
• Implement and oversee an efficient security system within the company.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards within the company premises.
• Develop, review, and update safety and health procedures (S-P / S-I).
• Undertake any additional assignments as required by the business.

The Successful Applicant

• Hold a degree/diploma in occupational safety and health or equivalent, from a professional body or institution approved by the Minister.
• Successfully complete an accredited occupational safety and health training program and pass any associated examinations.
• Possess a minimum of three years of experience in occupational safety and health.
• Demonstrate strong English language communication skills.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
• Green Book Holder is a must
