We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with 5+ years of progressive experience to manage comprehensive HR operations with a strong focus on labor relations and employment dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will ensure legal compliance, foster positive employee relations, and contribute to organizational success through effective HR practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- **Core HR Operations:**
- Administer compensation & benefits programs, payroll coordination, and HR analytics reporting
- Develop/update HR policies in compliance with local labor laws and regulations
- Conduct employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and workplace ethics
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data management
- Other general HR tasks
- **Labor Relations & Dispute Resolution:**
- Serve as primary contact for labor relations matters
- Investigate and resolve complex employee grievances and workplace conflicts
- Manage employment litigation processes including document preparation, evidence collection, and court representation coordination
- Advise management on labor law compliance and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with legal counsel on employment-related lawsuits and mediation proceedings
- **Employee Relations:**
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends
- Promote positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of proven HR generalist experience with minimum 2 years in labor relations
- Expert knowledge of Malaysia labor laws, employment regulations, and dispute resolution procedures
- Successful track record in handling employment litigation cases
- Proficiency in HRIS systems- Strong mediation and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in Malay & English
