Job Summary
The HR Manager will lead and establish the full spectrum of Human Resource functions for a new manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for setting up HR policies, recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and supporting operational readiness from pre-opening through full production.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Setup & Strategy
⢠Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems from ground up
⢠Establish HR frameworks aligned with business and operational goals
⢠Lead manpower planning and workforce structuring for factory operations
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
⢠Manage end-to-end recruitment for all levels (operators to management)
⢠Partner with hiring managers to identify manpower needs and timelines
⢠Build talent pipelines for production ramp-up
3. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
⢠Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution
⢠Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment regulations
4. Compensation & Benefits
⢠Develop competitive salary structures and benefits programs
⢠Oversee payroll processes and ensure accuracy and compliance
⢠Implement incentive schemes aligned with productivity and KPIs
5. Learning & Development
⢠Identify training needs and implement onboarding programs
⢠Develop skills training for production workforce
⢠Drive leadership development initiatives
6. HR Operations & Systems
⢠Set up HRIS, attendance, and payroll systems
⢠Develop SOPs for HR processes (leave, claims, onboarding, offboarding)
⢠Maintain employee records and reporting
7. Compliance & Governance
⢠Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health & safety, and audits
⢠Liaise with government bodies and regulatory agencies
⢠Support internal and external audits
8. Culture & Engagement
⢠Drive employee engagement initiatives and communication strategies
⢠Build a strong organizational culture aligned with company values
⢠Support change management during factory setup and ramp-up
Requirements
⢠Bachelorâs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
⢠Minimum 8â12 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing
⢠Experience in start-up factory setup is highly preferred
⢠Strong knowledge of local labor laws and industrial relations
⢠Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll, and HR operations
⢠Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
⢠Strategic thinking with hands-on execution
⢠Strong leadership and high adaptability in fast-paced environments
Working hours:
Mon to Fri, 8am to 5:45pm
