Penerangan Pekerjaan - ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Teachers

Job tasks for ICT teachers in the IGCSE syllabus:

1. Curriculum Planning and Delivery

● Lesson Planning: Develop detailed lesson plans that align with the IGCSE ICT syllabus. This includes creating a sequence of lessons that cover all required topics.

● Resource Preparation: Prepare teaching materials such as presentations, worksheets, and practical tasks. Utilize textbooks and digital resources recommended by the syllabus.

● Classroom Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons, both theoretical and practical, ensuring students understand core concepts and can apply them.

2. Assessment and Evaluation

● Setting Assignments: Design assignments, projects, and practical tasks that test students' understanding of the syllabus content.

● Examinations Preparation: Prepare students for internal and external examinations by conducting mock exams and providing revision sessions.

● Marking and Feedback: Grade assignments and exams, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.

3. Practical Skills Development

● Software Skills: Teach students how to use various software applications, such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

● Programming: Introduce basic programming concepts and languages that are part of the syllabus.

● Network and Internet Use: Educate students on the principles of networking and safe, effective use of the internet.

4. Student Support and Differentiation

● Individual Assistance: Provide additional support to students who may be struggling with certain concepts or tasks.

● Enrichment Activities: Offer extra-curricular activities, such as coding clubs or ICT competitions, to enhance students' learning experiences.

5. Professional Development

● Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in ICT and changes to the IGCSE syllabus. Attend relevant training sessions and workshops.

● Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with other teachers to share resources and best practices. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or degree courses related to the teaching qualification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in teaching IGCSE/Cambridge curriculum preferably in an international school.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Working Days: Mondays - Fridays (8.00/8.30 am - 5.00/5.30 pm)
