Infection Control Executive - Excellent Benefits Package

Responsible for the efficient and effective: 

• Conduct environment surveillances and ad hoc clinical practices to identify infection issues and practice gaps.
• Provide infection control orientation and induction program and not limiting to mandatory training program for new recruits.
• Identify clinical training needs and develop training program in infection control to bridge the gap in the infection control and prevention. 
• Plans, organizes and conducts effective teaching and training to the nurses and health care workers to influence practice outcomes and to achieve objectives towards patient safety and quality care.
• Share knowledge on infection control principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served.
• Provide safe environment through efficient implementation of appropriate standard precaution practice in accordance to patient’s needs.
• Perform and produce accurate clinical indicator / score card and audit and reports.
• Lead link-nurses learning program and audits.
• Act as a resource person, manage and supervise less skilled staff to deliver patient care at expected competency; knowledge and skills set to support the clinic operations and administration.
• Collaborate with Health / community agencies such in monitoring and reporting of communicable diseases, other women’s health program and referral system.
• Coordinate, educate and implement hospital-wide Infection Control program to hospital personnel on healthcare associated infections, communicable diseases and isolation procedures. 
• Ensure all infection control standards and practices are in compliance with internal procedures and statutory requirements.
• Provide clinical advisory to health care professionals, ancillary staff and external agencies concerned with social issues arising from infection control matters. Identifying potential infection hazards and made appropriate recommendation to prevent the spread of infection.
• Provide guidance and supports to the relevant clinical teams and Infection and Prevention Control Committee (IPCC) to investigate and control outbreak of infection. 
• Continuous participation and supporting the education of staff in the Control and Prevention of Infection.
• Collaborate with Clinical Resource Education team to conduct Infection Control awareness to new employee during orientation/induction program and in the biweekly Clinical Nursing Education (CNE).

Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing
• Valid practicing Annual Practice Certificate from Malaysian Nursing Board.
• Possession of Post Basic Certificates in Infection Control 
• BLS certification
