In-house Legal Counsel Assistant - Urgent Role

Job Descriptions:

• Be responsible for providing legal support on a wide variety of enquiries and matters, including but not limited to contracts, customer queries, data protection, regulatory compliance, licensing and corporate secretarial matters.
• Review and draft contracts and other company documentation, such as vendor agreements, employment handbooks, and NDAs.
• Support the company in managing and resolving legal disputes and regulatory inquiries.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments that may impact the company and provide timely advice to business teams.
• Conduct legal research as required.
• Provide counsel and support for dispute resolution and prevention, internal investigations, risk assessments, and liability assessments.
• Handle requests from and be a trusted contact for law enforcement and government agencies; provide counsel and support for dispute resolution and prevention; manage external parties, including counterparties, external counsel and experts.
• Corporate and commercial drafting and/or litigation experience is an added advantage.

Job requirements:

•  Bachelor’s degree in law from reputable university or equivalent 
•  Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Malay 
•  Minimum 5 years working experience in a legal department or a reputable law firm, post-long Call. 
• Deep understanding of commercial, corporate, and property law
