INSPECTION OF WORK (IOW)(MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL)

We as an established  construction firm in civil and structural works based on Kuala Lumpur is calling for interest applications for the following position  base in Kuala Kangsar Road project.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities for quality assurance and quality control supervision for civil and structural.
• Inspect and monitor civil and structural works to ensure compliance with construction drawing, specification and quality.
• Monitor and maintain record of work progress at site according to work schedule.
• Identify outstanding work and problem encountered at site and propose mitigation solution together with consultant and Resident Engineer.
• Liaise with contractors, consultant and Resident Engineer to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure installation works are carried out in compliance to local authorities' requirement and sub-contract specification.
• Attend site staff coordination meeting and report daily site activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures at site.
• Implement any and all related policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company's Quality Management System.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Superior.

Requirements:

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Civil and Structural (C & S)
• Registered as Inspector-Of-Works (IOW) with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM)
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Relevant field experience as a Civil and Structural  (IOW)
• Ability to read and interpret C & S engineering drawings, specifications and other material pertinent to construction.
• Knowledge of building regulations, health & safety requirements.
• Able to liaise effectively with consultants, authorities and contractors.
• able to write & communicate well.
