INTERIOR DESIGNER

• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for the space.
• Develop innovative and practical design concepts that align with the client's goals and budget.
• Create detailed sketches, mood boards, and 3D visualizations to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Select appropriate color schemes, furniture, materials, lighting, and accessories to enhance the space.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines and budgets.
• Liaise with mall management on all document submission and requirements to commence work on site.
• Attend all project coordination meetings, site meetings, technical meetings and inspections to monitor progress, identify/resolve issues.
• Keep track, compile and report all ongoing variations as requested by client.
• Attend all inspection meetings with internal teams and landlord to ensure proper site handover.
• Ensure completion of all defects & additional works and prepare handover report & defect list.
• Ensure tenant's as-built drawings to mall management upon fit out completion.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and coordination skills to communicate with internal teams, sub-contractors, clients and landlords
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Microsoft Office and other related software
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and preferably Mandarin
• Proven experience as an Interior Designer with a robust portfolio showcasing your design projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DS Max, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and material selection.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, and contractors.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
  Ability to adapt to client feedback and translate it into effective design solutions.
• Knowledge of sustainable and accessible design practices is a plus.
