IT Infra Engineer - Dynamic Team

We Are Looking For 

You will be part of the IT Infrastructure Team and will be responsible in supporting the daily system activities of our data center as well as the capacity planning and expansion. You have extensive knowledge in network architecture as well as in Firewalls/ IPS/ IDS/ Proxy/ Monitoring tools. 

​​Role and Responsibilities​ 

• Responsible for capacity planning and expansion of the data center's IT infrastructure. 
• Responsible for end-to-end performance monitoring and ensuring that IT performance metrics and reliability KPIs are met. 
• Support all system activities with comprehensive documentation, including project management, deployment, and operational matters. 
• Perform system administration tasks and provide technical support for IT infrastructure devices. 
• Tighten the operating system of system devices following defined procedures and checklists. Maintain the operating system of IT infrastructure devices securely against unauthorised access. 
• Implement changes through the Change Management Process on network components. Ensure that the change impact is evaluated, contingency and test plans are created to support the change request. 
• Build, configure, and rollout new releases through the Patch Management Process on system components that affect operations. 
• Identify, isolate, resolve, escalate, and close problem tickets according to the ITSM Incident Management Process. 
• Ensure the backup and restoration of IT infrastructure components are carried out so that critical services can continue in the event of a disaster. 
• Collaborate with principal IT infrastructure hardware vendors to resolve problems and implement new technologies. 
• Responsible for the technical evaluation and proof of concept of new technologies and ensure interoperability with our network. 
• Involved in the procurement of equipment and ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies. 
• Provide technical advice and support on fault resolution during escalations. 
• Responsible for the change management process and associated activities. 
• Maintain documentation and update policies and procedures in the ITSM knowledge base, etc. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor/ Diploma in Network or Computer Engineer or Equivalent 
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience 
• IT Network and systems architecture understanding 
• Good understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/ IP, OSFP/ ISIS, BGP, MPLS/ VPN 
• Knowledge of routers/ switches architecture and software upgrade procedure 
• Good knowledge on data centre, enterprise network and technologies 
• Experienced in Firewalls/ IPS/ IDS/ Proxy/ Monitoring tools
