Job Description

As Revenue & Entity Accounting Specialist, your will be part of the high-performing Revenue Reporting Team that’s responsible for all entities accurate and timely monthly and yearly revenue closing and reporting. You will mainly be responsible to manage and perform the necessary related revenue accounting processes for the assigned revenue portfolio, ensuring the revenue portfolio under your care is reported on timely basis and complete.

You are:

• Good knowledge in accounting and MFRS


• Hands on with accounting systems and processes. Experience in telecommunication background will be an added advantage


• Flexible and adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities


• Good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to network across a range of stakeholders


• Good analytical, problem solving and research skills, balanced between attention to details as well as ability to see the bigger perspective


• Ability to challenge existing practices and thinking and to engage and drive discussion with internal and/or external stakeholders


• Stakeholder focus - possess good listening skills, knowing their needs and expectations and working towards exceeding them


• Able to work independently and collaboratively with other departments and resources from all levels


• Passionate and committed in completing tasks assigned. Diligent in following up on outstanding issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly & yearly closing activities in accordance with accounting standards for the revenue portfolio under your care


• Prepare monthly analytical review of the Income Statement revenue-related accounts, properly documenting the changes and movement in collaboration with biz owners, if necessary


• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet schedules of all related accounts and ensure all unreconciled or aged items are properly explained


• Participate in projects related to the portfolio under your care, by providing requirement, participate in discussion and user testing


• Provide advise and handle queries from biz owners and stakeholders


• Liaise and work closely with various departments / teams to minimize hiccups and to achieve smooth end-to-end closing


• Drive and continuously seek for improvement opportunities, be it system enhancement and/or operational work process changes with aim to achieve operational excellence and to enhance internal and/or external stakeholders’ experience

Requirements

• Accounting qualification (MIA, CPA, ACCA, Diploma/Degree in Accounting)


• More than 5 years of relevant work experience, previous experience in Telco is added advantage


• Hands-on with accounting system (SAP, Oracle)


• Meticulous and disciplined in meeting reporting deadlines


• Excellent communications skills are important to establish cooperation and rapport with stakeholders at different working levels
