1. Contract Strategy & Execution:
•Lead Development and Execution: Lead end-to-end contract management from intake to execution across a high volume of procurement contracts. From Intake, drafting and negotiate contracts with strong commercial and operational understanding, driving contracts to closure with expediency.
•Collaborative Problem Solving: & Project Management Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as technology business users, Corporate business users, Information Security, Tax, Data Privacy, and Risk & Compliance to understand user pain points and business challenges and map these requirements to business objectives. Assess alignment with legal counsel and provide recommendations to reconcile any discrepancies between stakeholder requirements and business contract goals for and drive negotiations with external parties for contract closure.
•Managing high-volume of contract renewals on timely basis
2. Contract Drafting & Negotiation (Core Hygiene):
•Draft and structure contract terms, including scopes of work, obligations, and risk allocation
•Translate business requirements into clear, enforceable, and practical contractual terms
•Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve commercially favorable and risk-balanced outcomes
3. Stakeholders & Cross Functional Management
•Work closely with Procurement, Legal, and business users to align on contract strategy and risk positions
•Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders (e.g. Legal, InfoSec, Tax, Compliance)
•Influence stakeholders to balance speed, risk, and commercial objectives
4. Risk Management and Compliance:
•Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements
•Identify risks and propose practical mitigation strategies, not just escalation
•Prioritize material risks vs low-impact issues to support faster execution
5. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and stakeholders.
•Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.
•Drive vendor performance and accountability through effective contract management.
6. Post-Contract Management:
•Support contract renewals, amendments, and ongoing contract governance and stamping process
•Manage disputes and performance issues where required
•Ensure continuity and proper contractual coverage for ongoing engagements
7. Process Improvements & Digitally Savvy (Differentiator):
•Identify bottlenecks in contract lifecycle and implement improvements
•Develop and enhance: (i) contract templates (ii) playbooks (iii) standard clauses;
•Digitally savvy with a proactive mindset to leverage tools and technology to improve efficiency (e.g. SmartSuite, automation tools, AI-assisted workflows, excel)
•Able to use data and simple analytics to identify bottlenecks, track performance, and drive process improvements.
