Johor Based - Planning Development Manager

Summary

Play a central role in property project management by driving smooth planning, innovative product development, and seamless collaboration with internal teams, consultants, and external authorities. Support successful project delivery through proactive design coordination, sustainability initiatives, and efficient approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies, procedures, and activities in line with property development standards.
  

• Assist senior management in planning, executing, and completing assigned projects smoothly.
  

• Contribute actively to product development initiatives.
  

• Collaborate closely with consultants to achieve project milestones and deadlines.
  

• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., sales & marketing, procurement) to support effective design development.
  

• Organize and participate in project meetings and presentations as needed.
  

• Work with the authorities liaison team to build strong relationships with key regulatory bodies, facilitating efficient project delivery.
  

• Partner with sustainability design consultants to develop strategies that meet targeted sustainability ratings.
  

• Review and obtain approvals for required design elements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  

• Evaluate design aspects relevant to sales processes, including preparation of sales & purchase agreement plans and related documentation.
  

• Provide ongoing support to senior management in achieving successful project outcomes.
  

• Carry out any additional duties assigned by management as needed.
  

Requirements

• Holds a Diploma, Degree, or Master’s in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Studies, or a related discipline.
  

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in property development, project management, or design coordination.
  

• Practical knowledge of project planning and execution, with exposure to product development in the property sector.
  

• Strong experience in collaborating with consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
  

• Familiar with planning processes, preparation of submission documents, and regulatory approval cycles within the property industry.
  

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with regulatory authorities and drive timely project approvals.
  

• Experience with sustainability principles and design standards is an advantage.
  

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  

• Proactive, detail -oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  

• Familiarity with local construction and property development regulations is preferred.
