Junior Accountant

Location: Ipoh

Job Summary

We are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the accounting team with various financial tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our finance records.

Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions by recording journal entries.
• Preparing monthly financial reports such as income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, P&L.
• Maintain accounts receivable and payable, including sending and collecting invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliation and identity and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Generate and analyze financial reports as needed.
• Liaising with various stakeholders to obtain records and ensure accounting transactions are properly supported with original source documentation.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Participate in audit and ensure adherence to accounting standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records according to local standards.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the accounting and financial processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (Malaysia Private Entities Reporting Standards (MPERS) or Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards(MFRS) or local equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (Excel, Word, Doc, Sheets, Presentation Slides).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with accounting software (a plus).
• Experiences in managing full set accounts (a plus)
