Junior Fashion Designer

About the Role

ZALORA is seeking a fast, fresh, and agile Junior Fashion Designer to join our Modest Category team, supporting our in-house brands ZALIA and ZALIA BASICS. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic young talent to kickstart or grow their design career in Southeast Asia’s leading e-commerce fashion platform.

You’ll be part of a creative and fast-moving team that sets trends and designs for the modern modest woman — combining style, cultural relevance, and commercial impact. We’re looking for someone eager to learn, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Designer in developing ZALIA and ZALIA BASICS collections from concept to production.
• Conduct trend and fabric research with a strong focus on modest wear, seasonal direction, and market demand.
• Create clear, accurate tech packs and CADs for production.
• Participate in fitting sessions and ensure garments meet fit and quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams including buying, production, and merchandising to align on timelines and priorities.
• Stay updated on regional and global modest fashion trends, influencers, and customer behavior.
• Travel as needed for sourcing trips, supplier meetings, and on-site production checks.
• Organize and maintain digital and physical design archives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in fashion design; fresh graduates with strong portfolios are welcome.
• Basic to strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and modest fashion.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Fast learner with a “can-do” attitude who’s eager to grow.
• Agile, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic work environment.
• Willingness to travel when required.
