Job Description:

We are looking for a junior legal associate to join our team of lawyers. You will be responsible for handling various legal matters, such as conveyancing matters, general litigation, corporate and commercial disputes, construction disputes and advisory, contentious insolvency and fraud litigation, asset recovery claims, intellectual property disputes, and probate matters. You are required to assist in managing files, taking client instructions and furnishing clients with preparing required documents, signing, liaising with relevant authorities, legal advice and opinion (if necessary), drafting correspondence, and juggling other ad-hoc duties as required. Key Responsibilities:
• Handle diverse litigation matters including contractual disputes, corporate and commercial disputes, construction disputes and advisory, contentious insolvency and fraud litigation, asset recovery claims, intellectual property disputes, and probate matters.
• Represent and attend court procedures such as case managements, execution proceedings, hearings, and trials.
• Undertake thorough analytical research related to cases.
• Draft critical legal documents including cause papers, submissions, and more.
• Engage with clients and attend to the array of legal tasks.
• Aptitude for delivering written opinions, undertaking comprehensive research, and drafting articles.
• Abilities in managing files, taking client instructions, correspondence, and juggling other ad-hoc duties as required.
• Furnish clients with legal advice and opinions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws degree and has been admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as being a great team player
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal databases
