JUNIOR PURCHASER - Career Growth Potential

Job Description:

• Perform sourcing, price negotiation, contract & project management to ensure the timely and efficient procurement of materials and supplies required for production.
• Handle daily purchasing activities such as processing purchase requisition forms, soliciting quotes, commercial negotiation, commercial comparison, preparing purchase approvals for management's review and approval.
• Manage PO and ensuring that purchase orders are issued with the correct shipping/delivery term and pricing.
• Manage to plan the purchase of raw material, packaging, kitchen equipment, utensil, spare parts, stationery, services, and supplies.
• Check order processing and schedules with manufacturers/suppliers to ensure on time delivery to support the production.
• Responsible for stock forecast prior ordering including regular stock take (daily/ weekly/ monthly) to ensure sustainability of stock supply.
• Monitor the overall inventory related activities (stock-take, stock adjustments,
  disposal, etc) by ensuring existing stock in warehouse tally with internal system. 
• Performing minor accounting; checking Purchase invoices, Purchase Return, and others purchases issue and work with account team to ensure the payment mode to suppliers on timely manner.
• Execute cost reduction initiatives.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
• Strengthen suppliers' relationship in order to form a strong alliance and partnership that will benefit both parties.
• To ensure compliance of food regulations as well as food safety and quality management system, e.g. ISO22000, HACCP, Halal Jakim.
• To assist in order and ad-hoc tasks assigned.
• Monitoring personnel discipline to ensure harmonious working environment.

 Requirements and skills

• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• Negotiation skills
• Keen in learning, meticulous and organized.
• Good at PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Able to work under stress and deadline.
• Good command of Mandarin and English
