To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged from 2 to 5 years.
To develop and implement lessons and work schemes, using the Early Years Foundation Stage as a main framework, that enables children to make individual progress.
To provide leadership, direction and management to ensure sustained improvement of learning programmes at Discover Early Years.
To organising and supervise play and work activities (for example reading, cooking, music, dancing etc).
To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.
To help lead the centre in the policies and practices of continuous improvement and staff development in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage and Discover Early Years Handbook.
Your aim is to motivate children and use resources imaginatively to help facilitate their learning.
Support the implementation of EYFS in accordance to Discover Early Year’s pedagogy, assist in the development of a child’s personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities, as well as create a safe and secure learning environment.
Develop and create resources, visual aids, and other teaching resources.
To be able to conduct online learning for children aged 3 – 5 effectively.

Responsibilities of the job:-
Planning learning:
1. Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and inspiring curriculum for students, incorporating the areas of learning of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework in line with the pedagogy of Discover Early Years and the National Preschool Curriculum.
2. Create a high quality, rich, stimulating and enabling learning environment containing items that will capture students’ attention and lead to independent exploration.
3. Facilitate, support, and monitor the overall progress and development of all students under your care.
4. Plan opportunities to develop students’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
Teaching and Classroom Management:
1. Ensure effective teaching of the whole class, and of groups and individuals within the whole class setting, so that learning objectives are met, and students’ learning time is used efficiently.
2. Establish and maintain a purposeful learning atmosphere.
3. Set high expectations for students’ behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well focused, engaging teaching and through positive and productive relationships.
4. Establish a safe, clean and secure learning environment which promotes students’ confidence.
Monitoring, assessment, recording, reporting and accountability:
1. Maintain good organisation and accurate assessments so that they offer a clear record of students’ progress and complete an EYFS profile for each child.
2. Be familiar with the statutory assessment and reporting requirements and know how to prepare and present informative reports to parents.
3. Understand the expected demands of students in relation to the expectations of the Framework for the Early Foundation Stage and National Preschool Curriculum.
4. Maintain and keep Children’s Blossom Educational records are up to date.
Partnership with the Team:
1. Participate in administrative and organisational tasks related to the responsibilities described
above.
2. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the centre.
3. Support leadership in maintaining equipment, learning materials and supply inventories.
4. Raise ideas to management to identify better ways of working or improve the safety and standards of the setting.
5. Communicate upwards, any concerns, risks that you have for the wellbeing the children at the centre or of your colleagues.
6. Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents, governors, other members of the team and external agencies in the best interests of students.
Personal Development and Governance:
1. Treat all students with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position.
2. Be proactive in your personal development and adhere to Discover Early Years’ pedagogy to ensure a highly effective teaching team.
3. Attend staff meetings and training days.
4. To keep up to date with research and good practice – both to improve knowledge and understanding and ensure effective practice within the setting.
5. Maintain regular attendance.
Person Specification:
• Minimum diploma/ degree qualification.
• Qualification is relevant to Early Childhood Education.
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Pediatric First Aid.
• Has experience in implementing a teaching pedagogy.
• Shows an aptitude in implementing good quality learning opportunities.
• Experience in teaching children how to learn through play.
• Empathy and understanding of children under five.
• Good, confident communication skills to deal effectively and respectfully with children, parents, colleagues and visitors.
• Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records.
• Able to work on own initiative.
• A vision for developing the provision for the children and a willingness to try creative ideas.
• Happy to face and commit to challenges.
• Ability to identify children’s needs and provide learning opportunities to meet those needs as required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
