Key Account Manager (Sales)

Job Role

To be responsible for maintaining and developing a single/group of Independent Pharmacy(s) in order to exceed Company set sales and profit targets across range of ‘Must Have’ product lines. 

1. Achieve monthly sales targets of assigned key accounts
2. Manage and develop key accounts through joint business planning and execution of marketing & promotional plan
3. Maximising sales & managing trade spend
4. Involve in stock forecasting and planning
5. Managing in stock to DC and monitor product lifecycle in trade
6. Prepare monthly promotions planning & after sales analysis
7. Better coordination of business activities (Below the line)
8. Prepare weekly & monthly sales report for internal/external needs
9. Establishes rapport and maintains contact with existing key account’s buyers as well as potential accounts.
10. Monitor and report on all relevant market information, including competitor intelligence, new products, display & etc.
11. Quarterly business review/meetings with assigned key accounts to obtain market insights
12. Travel to outstation (Whenever business needs arise)
13. People Management (Leading Merchandising team)
14. Assist in ad-hoc projects, as and when required

Job Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate or Professional Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3  years in Consumer/ Pharmacy Sales and/or Key Account Management (advantage for candidates with Watsons or Guardian key account experience)
• Preferable minimum 1 year people management/ handling sales team experiences
• FMCG brand sales experience in the pharmacy/independence pharmacy/International key account.
• Excellent verbal and written English; and advantage for Chinese or any local language/dialect
• Clear persuasive communicator  (written and verbal) including active listening ability 
• PC literate with good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Results oriented, risk tolerant and persistent in fast paced, pressurised environment
• Good prioritisation and organisational skills 
• Adapts response to circumstances, flexible in handling change and comfortable working independently. 
• Category management / Trade Marketing exposure desirable
• Develops effective business relationships and manages difficult people effectively to seize opportunities
• Strong planning skills – focused on execution and the customer
• Ability to use influencing and negotiating skills to achieve results (both internally and externally)
• Excellent Presentation skills
