LEGAL ASSOCIATE - CORPORATE - Urgent Hiring

We are looking for passionate and motivated Legal Associate - Corporate to join our Firm.

Job Descriptions:

1. Act as liaison between the Firm and relevant stakeholders (domestically or internationally) such as individual client, financial institution, government or statutory bodies for all aspects of legal matters.
2. Providing advice on legal compliance, corporate governance, shareholder and founder arrangements including mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, partnership structure and cross border investments.
3. Drafting, reviewing, vetting and preparing a broad range of corporate and commercial contracts.
4. Providing legal opinions to clients and formulating strategies, problem solving/solutions on the file/case handled by conducting extensive legal research. 
5. Efficiently attend to client’s file and deadlines, correspondences and to provide regular reporting to Principal Partner on client/files/case handled.
6. Proactively exploring opportunities for the purpose of expanding and developing the Firm’s business and network.
7. Follow up payment for Professional Charges & Disbursement billed to client.
8. Practice legal compliance and risk control, which may include participating in training and educational sessions.
9. Keep abreast with all relevant legislations and regulations
10. Keep and maintain proper record of client.
11. Any other duties as may be reasonably expected and required by the Firm which commensurate with the level of post.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a recognized Degree in Law (LLB) with CGPA of 3.00 or higher.
• Possess technical legal knowledge in corporate structures and corporate governance, commercial transactions with strong legal research skills.
• At least 4 years of post-qualified experience in corporate and commercial practice.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu, with the ability to write concisely and with clarity.
• Expected personality traits: Organized and meticulous, detail-oriented, analytical, resourceful, have positive attitude, take initiative and able to pro-actively anticipate clients need.
• Able to work independently and meet the deadlines.
• Flexibility with mobility and willing to travel (local and abroad) and able to attend to ad-hoc matters.
