Job Description:

1)LEGAL ASSOCIATE (LITIGATION (GENERAL)) Job Descriptions : a)To be entrusted to handle a wide range of general litigation matters including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. b)To conduct a legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies. c)Represent Clients in court proceedings, hearings, trials and mediations. d)Communicate with Clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation matters. e)Attend depositions, witness interviews, and other case-related meetings. f)Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments affecting litigation practice areas. g)Provide timely and accurate legal advice and guidance to Clients and colleagues. h)Assist with case management, including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and meeting deadlines. i)Uphold ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of legal practice. j)To liaise with the Firm’s esteemed Clients on a regular and high frequency basis including but not limited to attending to correspondence such as emails, WhatsApp messages and other given communication modes or platforms, providing status reports (both in general and monthly basis) and rendering legal opinions. k)To handle multiple tasks at any given one time and to complete the assigned tasks within the requisite time frame provided. l)To handle any ad-hoc matters assigned as and when necessary. 2)LEGAL ASSOCIATE (LITIGATION (BANKING)) Job Descriptions : a)To be entrusted to handle the banking litigation matters (from the commencement of the legal proceedings right up to the completion of the execution proceedings). b)To conduct a legal research and analysis on banking laws, regulations, and industry standards. c)Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements. d)Communicate with Clients, external counsel, regulatory agencies, and other parties involved in banking litigation matters. e)Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams on regulatory compliance, risk management, and litigation avoidance. f)Stay abreast of developments in banking law, litigation trends, and industry best practices. g)Provide timely and accurate legal advice and guidance to Clients and colleagues. h)Assist with case management, including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and meeting deadlines. i)Uphold ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of legal practice. j)To liaise with the Firm’s esteemed Clients on a regular and high frequency basis including but not limited to attending to correspondence such as emails, WhatsApp messages and other given communication modes or platforms, providing status reports (both in general and monthly basis) and rendering legal opinions. k)To handle multiple tasks at any given one time and to complete the assigned tasks within the requisite time frame provided. l)To handle any ad-hoc matters assigned as and when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Mandatory Requirements :
Legal Associate (Litigation (General and Banking)) a)Admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and possessed a valid practicing certificate for the current year of 2024. b)Minimum one (1) year of prior experience in banking or general litigation. c)Excellent command of both English and the National languages (both spoken and written). d)Must be able to work independently with minimum assistance from the supporting clerical staff, ownership-taking and a team player. e)Must have good character, attitude, aptitude, soft and communication skills to ensure to ensure that the assimilation process into the the existing team of dedicated and committed lawyers and supporting clerical staff is done with ease. f)The attributes of being diligent, hardworking, self-driven and highly motivated are must haves as well. g)Must possess own transportation. h)Must be able to accomplish assigned tasks and conduct research during the weekends and public holidays (whenever it is necessary to do so).
