Legal Executive (6 - 12 months contract) - Unlimited Growth Potential

Since its establishment in 1998, Wong & Partners has grown steadily and now consists of more than 20 partners and 50 associates and legal assistants.

We are hiring a fresh law graduate to join us as a Legal Executive for a contract duration of 6 to 12 months. The successful candidate will report to the Associate / Partner in charge.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with the day-to-day litigation / IP Tech matters in Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property & Tech practice group.
• Undertake necessary legal research and provide legal support to lawyers and partners in the dispute resolution / IP Tech practice group.
• Assist to translate court documents from English to Malay and vice versa.
• Assist with preparation of cause papers, affidavits, applications to court and/or legal submissions.
• Responsible for preparing, compiling and coordinating, submission and filing of relevant court documents.
• Drafting/preparing commercial agreements.
• Assist to manage litigation / IP Tech files.

Requirements:

• A minimum qualification of Bachelor of Law (LLB) graduate.
• Prior Litigation / IP Tech experience will be an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently and as a team.
• Able to commit at least 6 to 12 months contract.
